Yeah, that was my opinion about the Spain - Italy game. What is it with Torres? It seems everyone loves him for no good reason. It's like van Persie on the Dutch team!

I actually really hope Denmark and the Netherlands make it through. Especially since Denmark is the underdog and turns out to be pretty okay. Germany - Netherlands will be exciting, if the Netherlands doesn't win or play even, they don't stand a chance to get through. It is the hardest group, I just hoped the games would show that. Right now, they didn't.

Ah, one of the best things about watching soccer: Drinking!

The Spain - Italy game wasn't that bad after all. Started out pretty boring, but in the end got pretty exciting. It's a pity Torres is so disappointing, Villa would've scored twice.

Couldn't manage to see The Neherlands, just the end, and they missed a couple of good chances. To be honest, they have fallen in the hardest group of them all. I wish Germany and The Netherlands could make it though.

Also, I love watching games not caring about the score. I think those are the most entertaining ones, especially when you're enjoy a few shots of jagger at the same time.

That sounds awesome. I'm planning on going to a three day punk festival in Las Vegas at the end of the month. Rancid are playing there as well. There's nothing in the world like an amazing show, particularly if you spend so much time and effort getting there and then it's fantastic.

Life is, in itself, exhausting. I believe that's the point. Your life sounds quite pleasant, but your dissatisfaction is obvious. I think that you will find, as I have found, that most people around our age aren't exactly partying as hard as they seem, and they certainly don't have money for shows. Or legitimate things to show for their hours of spent time. One has to find a balance.

Thanksgiving supposedly started when settlers came over from Europe and had a nice dinner with the Native Americans and forgot their differences temporarily. However, even though I'm American, I don't celebrate Thanksgiving because it's all a bunch of lies, really - The European invaders came here, stole land from Native Americans, killed almost all of them, and claimed the land as their own, which is the beginning of the original thirteen colonies in America. So all this stuff about peace is just total scheisse. It has evolved past that though, now it's just a holiday where friends and family get together, eat an inordinate amount of food, and celebrate what they have. It is really quite similar to Christmas celebrations, except it's not religious like Christmas is.

I do love that the Internet is kind of its own culture - it breaks geographical boundaries and allows people to be closer together and more understanding of each other. Like right now - you're halfway across the Earth from me, but we're talking anyway!

Hi,I wanted to give a bit of insoght on Thanksgiving. I am curently in Germany but i am an American. Ok short version, English people came to America but did not know how to take care of themselves during winter so native people helped them. Then they had a big feast with the natives because they survived. Thanksgiving now is a time when we cook specific foods and thank God for all we have. We eat all day and thank God foe all we have. Lots of eating with family is Thanksgiving. I miss it. i wish icould cook for my family!

Well October just ended, and I hope it didn't turn out to be a disappointing one. Well you said things always change this month, at least let them change for the better right?

You don't need to let worries get to you. In the end, everything is sorted out for better or worse, but sorted out anyway. If you worry about everything you can end up crazy; instead, try and look everything at the bright side, for alsmost everything has one, and that lacking one isn't worth your time (did this make any sense??).

Oh, my opinion is that Lost is way overrated. I never got into watching it! Try How I Met Your mother instead, which is, on the contrary, I think, highly underrated.

    Cheers

I wouldn't shit on your friend just because she's pregnant at nineteen, though. I mean, my parents met when they were both in high school and started dating at 14 and 16, then got married at 17 and 19, then had me at 19 and 21, and they did fine because they had, and still have, love, despite an all over lack of any money. So your friends might not necessarily have any either, but I'm just saying, it could all work out fine.

That is my goal also. I just wanna drop like, five pounds and get super sexy toned and rock it out on the beach this summer. Life is looking up, my friend.

Keep going, I'll cheer you on! <3

You should have gone with your sister, the festival still has such a great atmosphere. It's getting more crowded with the years, more annoying people showing up, but overall it's still amazing.

This guy http://www.youtube.com/user/ihearttheweakerthans has some amazing videos of the bands playing at Groezrock (and many other shows he went to).
I heard the Descendents show in London last Monday turned out terrible because Milo lost his voice; seeing this show back makes me understand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPtAS...eature=related
Even my voice had been fucked up the last few days, today it's finally getting better.

OHHH I hate that. I feel like I have to constantly assert my manliness just to be taken seriously in any kind of scene, JUST BECAUSE I'M A CHICK. people are such bitches about it. I'm glad you had a good time though. And sick of it all is seriously wicked, I envy your tattoo.

You are so lucky to have had the chance to catch Boy Sets Fire. So lucky! When I heard they were coming back together I couldn't help but regretting the fact that they're not coming anywhere near here where I can see them.

I'm sorry to hear what you say about the hardcore scene. Just look at it this way: there is mean people everywhere, it can't be helped. Then you meet people like the guy with the Strung Out tattoo and it saves your day.

I'm happy you had a good time after all

I understand that it's important to companies. Especially in the big cities, were you have to be different from all the competition. It just bothers me that they ask a college degree and several years work experience in marketing for those jobs, when I'm sure that it can't be that complicated.

On the other hand, it must be a really fun job. Making analyses, trying to keep people engaged, finding out what people want.

Social Media Marketing is actually a huge part of companies now, and I totally agree anyone who knows the internet can manage the accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and whatever else people use. The challenge, and the reason that people go to college for it (for marketing in general) is to use the information you are receiving from these sites and making them into strategic plans that do work for your company. The question becomes what do we do with all this new information we are getting in real time? Because this type of marketing is a two way street, much more so than that Billboard you see on a highway.

I'm a food marketing major, and for the food industry, nothing is more beneficial (of potentially more harmful) than social media marketing. I love that it gives me a leg up anyone who isn't comfortable navigating these sites. I love it.

Music and concerts are a great outlet! I think thats why so many of us are here.

For me personally when the world seems so overwhelming I go out at night and look at the stars (usual listen to music as well) and realise how insignificant what I am worrying about is. All we are is a speck in the universe and I hate to sound like an awful self help book or something but it just helps me to see that some things aren't worth getting down about and what you can't change you just deal with or cut out of your life.

Hope this helps. As Jess said, we're all here if you need a shoulder.

I know all too well how this feels because I lived the last 4, almost 5, years of my life the same way. It's miserable and I dreaded waking up in the morning but I fought it off by listening to a fuckton of music and getting out of the shitty situations I was a part of. If you ever need anyone to talk to that really understands, send me a PM. Anytime.

Awwwww, holy crap. I've had my cat since I was 2, I remember positively MAKING my mom buy her out of one of the rescue things at pet smart even though we weren't there to buy a pet... she was already an adult then and she's still here, but I don't know what I'm going to do when she's gone, which could happen any minute. She's literally slept across my neck or on me or with her little cheek on mine (sooo cute) every night since I was little, and I just don't know how i'm going to get over it. I'm so sorry for you at least she was happy.
