I've never been much of a soccer fan. Sometimes, when there's nothing else on, I watch a game. It may happen that I actually enjoy watching it. Yet, I've never been much of a fan. The World Cup and Europe Cup would pass me by if the country didn't go that crazy. When the stores and streets color orange, and it's not Queensday, I know it's that time again. For some reason, I get sucked into it. I start watching the games and enjoy it, I like the strategic element the ...
My throat is still sore from last weekend, my ears are still buzzing. I should have worn earplugs, but the ones they handed out hurt my ears, so I gave up on them after two or three bands. The Groezrock festival is over. Two days of the best punk-rock bands, two days of drinking too much, sleeping too little, screaming too loud. It's over and all that's left are the cd's I bought, the wristband I'm still wearing and the memories. Great memories at that. I never thought ...

I remember the first English class, our teacher went over the pronuncation of the English alphabet. It ended in me in rebel mode. ...
I had to tell my plans for traveling this month goodbye. It wasn't a heartbreaking goodbye, there were no tears, there was only apathy. Because, well, this was life the way it had been for months. Making plans, life gets in the way and following through with those plans turns out to be impossible. There are days were I feel an irresistible urge to get out of this place. It leaves me checking plain tickets, train tickets and hotel costs, comparing those to the lonely numbers on my ...
Thanksgiving is coming up. The only reason that I know this is that the people on my Google+ seem really excited about it. I have no idea what thanksgiving actually is, except that people get around and eat a lot. So, to me, it doesn't differ from Christmas much. (Not counting religions.) If I would be as excited about Sinterklaas people who aren't from the Netherlands will be equally confused. A holiday with a Santa Claus look-a-like who comes from Spain to the Netherlands on a boat, ...
