The date is July 6th 2005. I'm a 20 year old student in the middle of a sports science degree and the news that has just been announced, that London will host the 2012 Olympic games is about the most exciting thing ever to happen in my life.

And I won't sit down, and I won't shut up, and most of all I will not grow up.

Well except maybe for the pension plan part, because as of this week I have one. Fuck knows exactly what this means, or how it actually works. I haven't got a clue. All I know is i'll be a couple of hundred quid worse off a month, but in 50 years time i'll be laughing. If i'm not dead by then.

Still, the not growing up part. This weekend I move out of the shared house i'm in, and into a place ...

Soooooo, what could be better than the prospect of seeing Refused live? Seeing Refused and Andrew WK. Oh Yeah. Thats how I roll.

In all seriousness though. I haven't been this excited about seeing a band since RATM in 2008. Bring on July!!

Thats Eargasm, not or.. well, you get the picture. My top 6 songs which start steadily, and get to a point where you are wondering if anything is going to happen at all, only for it to suddenly explode into life in a full on aural assault on your senses, making you wonder why every song couldn't be like this.

6: Kicking off with as song which, being Muse, you know is likely going to be building up to something anyway. It doesn't disappoint.
