Broken.

  1. Triathlon done.

    Sunday morning was a bastard, got up at 6am to leave for about 6:45... Very tired. got to the venue for just before 8 and put the bike together... discovered a punctured rear (3 different holes!) got a spare tube and fitted it all good.

    Swim came along and I managed to complete that in just under 11m Swimming is not my best discipline by far... in fact I'm shit at it.

    Next up trasnsition 1... by the time I got out the pool, over to transition area dried off a little ...

  2. Triathlon...

    So it's now just 31 hours until I'll be on hopefully the second part of my triathlon... I dive in the water at 9:05am tomorrow...

    Was feeling pretty good on monday about it during my run, my swimming earlier that day had gone pretty damn well, my cycle the day before I'd managed to knock 10mins off my time and still felt fresh(ish) at the end of it...

    You can sense the "but..." can't you.

  3. Shitting it to say the least...

    So went on the website for the race I have next week, and I'm 6th starter... This means I'm going to be in the pool when EVERYONE (bar 5 others) will be stood around the side watching and waiting (for m to drown possibly).

    Talk about horrible situations... I'm shit at swimming so that will draw attention to me, I still hate my body and lack any self confidence when people are staring at it (which they will be... I stick out like a fucking tube of smarties in a beige room).

  4. Training V... Yet another.

    since last time, I've been on a few smaller cycles at quick pace (for me anyway). a few runs over the 5-6km distance, and a few interval sessions alongside that. been feeling better each time I go on a cycle/run, but swimming is still shit (altho getting very slightly better).

    Took two days off over the wekend as recouperation, then last night went for what I thought was going to be a 20km cycle and that was it. Turned into a 24km cycle then 1.5km run. Got a second (well, more like ...

  5. Training IV - Good times!

    So yesterday was a big training day, I'd managed to aquire a mountain bike (boo) the day before, so now I was able to get some serious training down on the transition between bike and run... (the hard one).

    Lunchtime was a swim. felt fucking ill, and definitely didn't really want to be there. Too many people in the pool swimming about aimlessly getting on my nerves.
    After a little warm up and a few scowling looks at the old hags hanging about in the shallow end just walking ...
