I love haircuts and dyes. It's like re inventing. But totally reversible, as it will always grow back.

Eddie Izzard is easily my favorite comedian. I fell asleep to his Glorious DVD a few nights in a row.

If you can find a way to see him live, do it. It was one of the funniest & most amazing experiences I've ever had.

People change. I used to have a really close group of friends back in HS, but today I'm left only with my idiot older brother (Just kidding, we're best friends nowadays). Those old friends have either died, or have changed. Actually, it's better put that I've changed. They stayed the same. Change can go both ways. You just have to keep making new bonds. And that is easier said than done. Hence, my brother is my best friend.

I know the feeling. I avoided a lot of people for awhile, just because all they did was talk about drinking. I had to find all my own interests on my own.

I hear you. As soon as my friends became legal, they started drinking, it's only a matter of time before they realize all the other things they can do (like pot.) If it gets to the point that it's intolerable, new friends or less time spent with friends could be a viable solution, however for 'Kurt' perhaps never seeing him (even in the group) is a solution. Although I'm in the same predicament, although I'm more into believing that it's better to be friends than strangers.

I'm told that joining clubs is a way to make friends, I haven't put this theory into practice yet, but it's a possibility.

I like your Tegan & Sara reference, it drew me to this blog

Yeah, I love Tegan and Sara, but like you, it took way too long for me to discover them. Since I'm seeing them with AFI in a month, I thought I'd check them out (even though I'd tried previously), and I think it was a strange, obscure song on my boyfriend's iPod that got me into them called "Missing You". I liked the way Tegan and Sara's voices mingled and the entire choppy way the song flowed was so different from anything I'd ever heard before, and I fell in love with it. I can't get enough of them now.

It is amazing how you get sucked back in, isn't it? Seeing the band live made me feel like I did when I was 15. Hahaha.

Talk to your teacher. Explain your worries and maybe they can help.

Oh man, I feel the same about Bowie. Imagine my frustration when I found out he toured in my area shortly before I was even into him.
