Sainthood

I'm writing this as I am waiting for a cab to take me to see New Moon. I don't really want to see it, but I have to form my own opinions and can't just take what anyone says about it. I liked the books, but this attention is nauseating. As is all the mentioning of it here on the boards, so lets get right to the point of this post shall we?

I have finally decided to really listen to Tegan and Sara. What took me so long, you ask? I don't know. Honestly, I never take suggestions seriously. I kind of have to fall into music on my own, not by the pressure of someone else. Sainthood's release seemed like a good time so I went out on a whim and bought it. I love it! So I bought The Con as well, and I love it even more! Full Tegan and Sara mode at the moment. Once I get comfortable with these two albums, I will start venturing back through time with them.

I love falling into new music. I also love falling back into old favorites. I love long car rides where you can listen to music for hours and just get reacquainted with it. I need a new iPod though. The battery life on mine now is getting worse by the day. What can you expect after almost three years of love? Unfortunately, I cannot afford a 300 dollars touch at the moment, and I think I am getting a car for christmas from the parents so I'm not going to ask for one.

BUT I am getting new Macbeth's since my old ones are all gross underneath:

very excited.

Alright, I should start getting dressed. Cab should have been here 10 minutes ago.

Tegan and Sara are the shit. I just started getting more into their music a few weeks ago and they have already claimed the spot as my seccond favorite band. <3

Yeah, I love Tegan and Sara, but like you, it took way too long for me to discover them. Since I'm seeing them with AFI in a month, I thought I'd check them out (even though I'd tried previously), and I think it was a strange, obscure song on my boyfriend's iPod that got me into them called "Missing You". I liked the way Tegan and Sara's voices mingled and the entire choppy way the song flowed was so different from anything I'd ever heard before, and I fell in love with it. I can't get enough of them now.
