I love concerts.

I've been to quite a few concerts before, but none of them were quite like this one was, for several reasons:
1. I had my first experience being in the front row. Leaning over the stage was quite interesting.
2. I got the meet and talk with the band.
3. I got autographs from some of the band members.
Well, the bands that played at the concert tonight were Powerglove, Mutiny Within and Sonata Arctica. I was mostly there for Mutiny Within, but hardly anyone there knew who they were, so my friends and I made our way to the front and had an amazing time headbanging and screaming out the lyrics. Chris, the vocalist of Mutiny Within, saw us and tried to give us high fives, but let's just say that I'm a rather short girl... He tried!
I had talked with a couple of the band members of Mutiny Within before the show when I was buying a t-shirt, and I met the rest of them after the show. Drew, the keyboardist, recognized us as the ones who went "totally crazy" during their set, and he pulled out his camera for us to wave at him. One of my friends managed to get a copy of their set list, and she got that signed. I got my CD booklet signed by a couple of the guys, but I had to leave and didn't have time to wait for them. Chris started waving at me to wait, but I couldn't stick around any longer, unfortunately. Oh, well. At least I got to talk to them for a while.
I must say that I'm rather proud of myself for not acting completely fangirly while meeting them, seeing as this was my first time meeting some of my favourite musicians. However, I think the fangirly-ness that I held back on just poured itself out into this blog entry. My apologies.
Anyway, both Powerglove and Sonata Arctica were amazing as well. Ahh, I'm on such a post-concert high right now. Honestly, this year of waiting to go to a concert was absolutely worth it for this one night. \m/
