My first Apple product.

I recently got my first Apple product: a 16GB Ipod Nano. I must say I'm pretty happy with it; it works great, and I've already gotten used to using itunes to transfer music to it.

However, there's one little tiny detail that disappoints me, and it's no other than the battery life.
I have to recharge my ipod every day (two days may pass, but I risk getting the battery drained in the middle of work, oh the horror!). Is this normal??

As I said, every day! And this is the usage I give my ipod:

BATTERY FULL.
From 6:20 to 7:15 -> Bus shuttle to work, so listening to music, screen mostly off but sometimes I change the album or artist, not too frequently though...
From 7:15 to 2:30 -> Alternating between sleep mode and music listening. Screen sometimes on, to select playlists and whatnot.
From 2:30 to 3:30 -> Bus shuttle from work, listen to music again.
BATTERY ALMOST EMPTY.

I try not to meddle with the screen too much, but yet battery drainage haunts me. Alas!

Other than this, I'm pretty happy with my new gadget. I may even give it a name.

Love,
Jose Carlos.

i think thats normal. i have an ipod touch, so when the wifi is turned on my ipod wont last a few hours depending on how much i'm using it, but even with the wifi turned off and only listening to music i need to charge it every night. ipods would be so much better with a longer battery life :|

Well, by modifying the screen brightness I was able to double up the battery life. Now I don't need to recharge it every single day. Woo!

By the way, rating songs is fun.
Oh, and I don't like Apple's criteria of incrementing the 'play count' once you reach the end of the song. I have in mind a better implementation of the 'play count' algorithm.
