Job Hunting

Rate this Entry
Ok so I've been searching for a job for a few weeks now, but no one seems to want to hire me. It is seriously depressing because I need money if I'm gonna be able to build my awesome cheese guitar. It's also kind of annoying because I'm not a felon, I'm not disabled and I don't have an attitude problem, so I don't really know why I can't find a job. It's a pretty critical thing right now too for reasons I don't feel like explaining. So if anyone knows how a high school student can get a job these days, don't hold out on me. I need a miracle worker!

If you can work remotely and know websites even a little bit, you can apply to the company where I work remotely:

I'd suggest the customer service representative listing. They have more openings and require less experience. It's also a good place to get further experience long-term for other jobs or even promotions within the company. We do hire people in high school as well, so age isn't going to be the issue.

I know the feeling. It took me nearly a year and a half for me to find my first job. I'd applied everywhere that anyone could think of, and got nada. Found an ad in the local fish and chip shop, rang the number. They called me back, asked me to come down. They showed me around the place (I work at a car wash), told me what the job involved, asked if I was prepared to do it. I said yes, the response was 'great to have you on board!'

    Best new year's eve ever.
