song of the day

You ever get in one of those moods where you can't stop listening to one song? I've been in that type of mood lately. Yesterday it was "Highwayman" by The Highwaymen. The day before it was "Hallowed be Thy Name" by Iron Maiden. Today is a new song.

That song is "We Bite" by Misfits.

You know, I've always liked this song but for some reason it just really hit me today. It starts off at full force. There's no "1-2-3-4" count off, no hi-hat hits, no fucking bullshit.

This has got to be one of the most brutal fucking songs. Seriously. It's not really that heavy and it's not really super duper fast but it really gets ya. Then we get to the chorus and it's just as aggressive but a lot more catchy. "When I get your blood I rip your throat / I want your blood I rip your throat." How do you fucking beat lyrics like that?

Phew.

I've had times I listen to the same song on repeat over and over. I did that with "1973" by James Blunt for some unknown reason awhile ago, have done it with "This Time Imperfect" and "Morningstar" before, too.

Just one of those mood deals where you want to have a set feeling and the only way to prolong it is to listen to the song that causes that feeling.

The only thing is, Miraenda, is that you can never pinpoint it. It just kinda comes outta nowhere. Like, was I feeling ultra aggro? No way. I was pretty mellow. It just struck a chord.

Undercover, it really is. WE BITE!
