I don't when the last time I felt this good was. I've been struggling on where I stand with some of my friends, but the more I think about last night, the more I think it could've been THE highlight of the summer & the best idea we ever had. So much came out of it - good, fun, serious, revealing, everything.

It was, technically, Stephanie's idea last summer. She joked that we should have an "underwear party", which is really self-explanatory - everyone just comes in their underwear. Where she got this, I don't know, but we actually fucking did it.

It wasn't the usual five of us & whatever other mutual friends were free. Nolan invited his new potential love interest & other friends from school, Meri invited her boy, & a few other people came by & brought friends of theirs. People were in & out all night. Nolan's friend Phil, who I loved, kicked it off - he left for a few minutes & came back in boxers & a tie. So Steph & I decided to join in, & soon, nearly all of us girls & I think just Nolan & Phil were in our underwear.

And all we did was dance to ridiculous music, talk, drink, & smoke most of the night. But it was so much fun. No one cared, everybody let loose, & we just enjoyed ourselves.

One of the highlights was spin-the-bottle. Nolan's love interest Marshall insisted we all play & got everyone but Meri's man AJ & Steph's boyfriend sat out, meaning the only guys playing were all gay. Marshall was hilarious & insisted on giving EVERYONE tongue. Some of the funniest moments of the night came from that game.

As it winded down into the early hours of the morning, Nolan & Marshall moved to a couch in the back of the shed. We're happy for him, & highly approve of Marshall. Meri & AJ snuggled on the couch for a while & are really cute together, & I highly approve of AJ. Meri's afraid to really start anything before school so I don't know what their plans are, but I love them together. Much as I'd like to find someone, & Meri & I discussed this, I want Sarah to find someone more. She deserves it.

Marion, Tessa, & Phil stayed in the shed pretty much the whole night. AJ, Meri, & I shoved couches together in the family room & slept together on those. It was suggested that Nolan & Marshall went up to Nolan's room, but we don't know for sure. We heard someone come in after we'd been inside a little bit & Marion came in to use the bathroom & know Nolan was gone, but wasn't sure of the whereabouts of Marshall. Meanwhile, Meri, AJ, & I - but mostly me & Meri were up talking until six, easily, but I had trouble sleeping. Probably the Red Bull & vodka I drank. We got up around 9:30, Marion & Tess left, the rest of them moved inside, & we had some more laughs before we broke up.

Nolan, Phil, & Marshall went up in the mountains & I was invited along, but I have no cash on me. Plus I'm going to the movies. Meri & AJ are going out, too. Fun all around.
