Random Musings 2

It would seem the last time I wrote in my blog was back in 2007...now nearly three years ago. Impressive. I think this shall be the musing that could be aptly renamed "Three Years."
Today I dropped in at End of an Ear (a fantastic record shop here in Austin) to get my ticket for this Wednesday's Ceremony show at Emo's. I just recently got into Ceremony actually and figured I had better go for it. Will I get the living crap knocked out of me? Probably. Will I have fun? Of course. Fun to think that this will be more sixth show in approximately a year. And that my very first show was NIN back in May 2009. Funny how time passes so quickly at times (hah, awkward pun that wasn't intended).
Let's see, what else can I comment on in "Three Years?" Ah yes, I went home a couple days ago for an eye doctor appointment and brought back with me today the electric and acoustic guitars I have. The last time I truly played guitar? About three years ago. It's a good thing no one is living near me at the moment in this apartment complex. They'd each take turns shooting me and stabbing me (almost in true "He Who Laughs Last" fashion, except unlike Davey, I wouldn't be in the back of a car and I wouldn't have fake blood all over me while singing about trust and people who obviously lack mine). Yeah...
Three years ago I used to run cross country. I was decent (varsity, but not the fastest by a long shot). I recently (i.e. a few weeks ago) signed up to run a couple half-marathons this January and February. What the fuck was I thinking!? I haven't run seriously (i.e. more than a mile) in well...three years! I'll just finish this paragraph with the usual: fuck my life.
Three years ago...I was three years younger. (Yeah, I know: "Way to go Captain Fucking Obvious!")
Three years ago, I was uncertain about what I wanted from life and how to go about getting it...oh wait. Three years later and that one hasn't changed any!
Well, enough of three year expanses of time. I'm straining for something more to write, and that just isn't how the natural flow of things works. Instead, I shall return full attention to Kommunity FK and spacing out while trying to think of how to tackle this government paper that was of no concern to me three years ago. How things change.
