As a fellow member of his hometown and having seen him at my church before, I must say he is a hometown hero of mine. A wonderful person to talk to as well as an excellent musician. His political views have opened my eyes.

Mat Skiba
As a fellow Chicagoan and lover of all things dark and sinister, I look up to him with great awe. Seeing Alkaline Trio play a show is beyond words. The lyrics he writes are also extremely deep and interesting to say the least.

Ill never forget hearing this man sing 5 years ago. I instantly fell in love. After seeing Kill Hannah live with the lasers and strobe lights I washooked. Lyrics are astonishing and once you see this man live, you'll be wanting to come back for more. I dont know what it is about Chicago musicians but I guess I have a knack for 'em.

C'mon now guys, did you think it was going to be anything but? Stage presence, lyrics, fan appreciation, and honesty all add up into the wonderful man we all adore. No one else that I can think of is so dedicated to their fans as to let them sing on record, climb onto a crowd of adoring fans to have a sing along to "God Called In Sick Today" let alone do it every show and allow fans to get pass security, climb onto the stage, watch security escort the said person out and then chase after the poor kid during a song.That my friends, is dedication.
