aRE yOu afraId of thE DarK?

Just looking at the title creeps me out. July? JULY?! What? Already? No. It can't be real.

And nonetheless, my calendar begs to differ. *sigh*

I haven't posted a regular old blog in over a month. I don't know why. I've just been doing other things, which I can say is a good thing, right? I do have a life, guys, I swear.

So, the weather has been a huuuuge let-down. I would say more than 3/4 of June was shot because of the bad weather. We received clouds and fog and downpours from Hell. It was just horrible. The whole notion of summer felt like a lie on the last week of school because it was just crappy out, and time has really been flying by (I don't know how many times I can say that).

Now, this dreariness is slowly ebbing away. Now we're getting at least two nice days a week, which is wonderful. Today was a bit annoying because it started out cloudy and rainy, and then when I get myself in the mood to stay in and punk out, the sun emerges, only to be hidden again by the clouds. It's been driving me nuts. I don't want this entire summer to go to waste.

However, for those nice days that have been coming out, I smell summer, and how I love it. I so wish I could encapsulate that smell and just douse myself in it. It's unmistakable. For me, three things determine the debut of summer: the smell, the warmth, and the beach traffic.

Tonight I'm making my way down to the local fair to see the fireworks, and tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful outside, so I'll be heading down to the beach.

I don't really have anything else to say except to start enjoying the summer now and don't rest for a second!! It's only here for such a short time, which is sad, but so much can happen withing the season, so make it happen. It's fantastic.
