The Despair Faction FAQ

The Despair Faction costs $29.99 to join, plus shipping and handling. We can accept payment by credit card and debit card with the Mastercard or Visa logo, personal checks, and money orders. Please do not send cash!

Paying with a personal check or money order may delay your access to the online portions of the Despair Faction, subject to when your order is approved and shipped.

Overseas shipping costs and currency exchange rates may apply outside the United States. If you would like to know the total cost of a Despair Faction membership for you outside of the United States, please contact our fulfillment partner:

No. Availability of advance tickets for each show depends upon a number of factors, including what company is handling the tickets for each individual show and the policies of each individual venue. If advance tickets are going to be available for a show in your area, you will find all the information on the main page of the DF site. Sometimes we can do it, sometimes we can't, and we often don't know about a particular show until the very last moment.

If you successfully completed your order with Cinder Block, Inc. and your credit card was charged and you have received your membership package, please be sure that you are entering your correct information to log into the site. Please click here to be sure you are using the correct login information. If that page cannot find your account in our system, click here to email us. Please include your full name, your order confirmation details from Cinder Block, and the date your received your package. We will not ask for your credit card information.

Shipping varies depending upon the country that you live in. For US residents, it is about 8 dollars.

You can e-mail service@cinderblock.com for a more precise estimate and the wonderful customer service people at Cinderblock will help you out. Please be polite. The time it takes for each package to arrive depends upon location and various other factors. If it is important, please e-mail Cinder Block at the address listed above. Otherwise, expect 3-4 weeks if you're in the United States or Canada.

Absolutely! Your membership packet and other mailed items will probably take a little longer to arrive, but everything else should be available for you. Advance ticketing may not be possible, but we will be doing what we can.

In order to activate your Despair Faction member benefits for the board, you must request it from the system. Here are the steps:

1. You must be a member of the Despair Faction and able to log in to the Despair Faction site: despairfaction.com

2. You must be a full member of this message board. If you can set your user options and the board refers to you by name, then you are a member. If you can not do these things, you may need to register for this board or you may need to get your username and password if you have forgotten your information.

3. Please verify that you have given us your correct e-mail address on the Despair Faction site AND here on the board. We use your e-mail address to match your DF profile to your board profile so our system can activate you! Very important.

4. If everything is okay so far, go ahead and go to the Despair Faction site and click the link that says "The DF Message Board Forums." It should automatically enable your special DF access here on the board. If something is wrong, it will give you an error message.

5. Enjoy!

Most errors give a reason for the failure, so you should be able to fix the problem right away.

If the error message tells you that your username is taken or invalid, please choose another. Your first name or some variation on it is often an excellent choice.

Be sure your password and e-mails match on both lines of the online registration form.

If you are receiving other errors which leave you stranded, please email us and we will try to help you resolve your problem. The more information you can give about your computer, browser and what appeared on your screen, the more we will be able to help you.

Within 30 days of receipt of your shipment, you may return any items that were damaged during shipment and receive replacement items as well as a refund for your return shipping costs. You may also exchange any item for a different size; however, a CHECK or MONEY ORDER must be included with your item to cover the shipping charges for the exchanged item.

For ALL RETURNS, please include a copy of your invoice, the reason for your return and a telephone number or email address where we may contact you. If you did not receive an invoice because the order was a gift, please indicate the Internet order number, email address and name of the person who placed the order. Wrap the package securely and send the package to the following address:

The $7.00 Lifetime Membership Fee is non-refundable. Any refunds for the membership packet will be for the amount of $22.99, and will only be given if the membership packet is returned with each item intact. All refunds for the membership packet will still constitute a termination of Despair Faction membership, and your information will be removed from the fan club roster.

Termination of membership can be granted upon request but the above process is the only way to do so and receive a refund for the membership packet.
