So I was just thinking about DUI's because a "friend" of mine on facebook posted "I just got a DUI. Please pray for me" When I read this I didn't feel bad for her at all. I just thought what an idiot and you deserve it. I just don't have sympathy for anyone that decides to drink and drive. I have about 6 months of being 21 under my belt, plus all the years of under age drinking, and I've never decided to drink and drive. Its just not something I would let happend. About a month ago I used a cab for the first time, and it really wasn't that expensive. I'm for sure it cost alot less than getting a DUI. Anyway so lets hear some stories... Ever had a DUI, have a close call, know someone that got a DUI...

I hope anyone who drives under the influence of any drug gets the most severe punishment that the law will allow. It could be my own family member with a DUI and I'd wish the same. There are so many alternatives to drinking and driving. Not acceptable ever.

My mom drives drunk constantly. That is seriously her favorite thing to do, and it pisses me off. She's been pulled over, completely wasted with MORE alcohol in the seat next to her, and the cop didn't do shit. I WISH she would get a DUI. It's disgusting.

My uncle was killed by a drunk driver. Drinking and driving is senseless.

That's so scary. Luckily I don't know anyone who has ever gotten a DUI, but I think texting and driving is just as dangerous. I guess some people believe they can "do it" (just like drinking and driving), but it is careless behavior that needs to be heavily restricted by law enforcement. My dad got rear-ended by a girl no older than 18 who was texting and driving a year ago. I really believe this is just as dangerous as drinking behind the wheel.

Today some asshole almost rammed into my moms car because he was texting. He was going 40mph on a freeway and texting. Dumbass.

They say that you have a slower reaction time while texting and driving than drinking and driving.

In front of our house in Joplin, on three different occasions we had our *parked* cars totaled by crazy drivers. One was an old lady, one was a guy who was all methed out and the third was a drunk girl, totaling my first car only a month after I had bought it. She slammed into my car, which flew forward and slammed into and totaled my sister's blazer. My dad recorded her while the police did tests on her. It was funny/sad how stupid she was. This was at 1 am. First she said she hadn't drank at all. Then it was that she had only had one drink, but it was at 10. Then it was she had only been drinking until 11. Then she said, "Well, I just stopped drinking about an hour ago but I'm not drunk."

I know people who have 3 dui's. Talk about not learning a lesson.

My ex has had 3. He's also here illegally from Russia. I have no clue how he wasn't deported...
