AFI needs to find a label first, and then they need to actually write the record, and then record it, then promote and release it. I estimate a new album in 2014.

my rhymes eat whatever they want, they're on Mariah Carey's diet
Looks like Davey's been doing everything but AFI/Blaqk Audio stuff. Amusing at first, but after a year and a half I'm getting tired.
i miss AFI. i was hoping they would do a video for Torch Song but they never did. hoping they have something cookin right now. an album and show would definitely give me my fix for a little while atleast lol. Im wondering what new direction they take their music this time around. id like a little more edge and aggression but anything they do will always make me happy lol
What I was thinking. A lot of people are assuming that Davey's new tweet is referring to a fall release for a new AFI record, but this WILL NOT happen. If that were to happen AFI would have to already have written the record and be in the studio for it to be released by then. I'm sure "Fall will tell all" is hinting at a Fall release for BBH they'll tour probably until just before January and then begin work on AFI. Meaning a late 2013 to an early 2014 release or longer.
I do too...
But if we look at how they did things for Cex Cells it kinda lines up. Cex Cells was released in August of 2007, I believe they toured till December (though, not sure. Never paid attention) They began focusing on Crash Love in 2008 and they took from the beginning of 2008 to the last quarter of 2009 to write, record, and release.
So let's say BBH comes out in October, I have a feeling the tour for BBH will be a lot longer than CC so we'll guess that from October to say February they tour. End of February beginning of March they begin to start writtng and all that jazz. 2013 is spent in the studio and in 2014 we start the cycle for number 9.
I know some people will say "But Danny, ever since STS they've released a record every three years! You crazeh!" But the thing is that was never official, it just happened and much like them dropping the intros who's to say that they won't take 4 years this time? Who said there would even be a new record? These things just aren't guaranteed.
Edit: Also, for all we know the record every 3 years could have been something that Interscope decided that they wanted and this time, with AFI hopefully off of Interscope, they may decide to take a bit longer.

AFI isnt even on a label right now? i seriously hope whoever they decide to work with can help them channel some of that art of drowning and sing the sorrow magic. those two albums will forever be my favorites.
