AFI tree/snake motive in a video of world's end beginning in 3:36/3:37!

my friend send me yesterday this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIUhfwdpJ40&feature=plcp ...(english audio with czech subtitles)
I don´t believe it, but there is one moment what totally grounded me.
Now, you don´t have to watch the whole video.. but look at the 3:36/3:37 at this video! (No, I´m not kidding :-D ) There begin a scene where a snake is wrapping around the Earth and then he transformed to a tree. And this totally reminds me this: http://www.redraven.cz/img/products/0/8601-image.jpg

I think that´s just coincidence, but the scene begins in 3:36/3:37 and there is the motive of snake/tree. What do you think, that the motive of snake/tree mean or symbolize?
