I was watching MUCH News, and the drummer of Greenday said that the current band that he was listening to was AFI and that it was nice to see a successful band from the Bay Area. He said that they had great drumming, awesome singing, and they were overall a kickass group!

Yeah also on a radio interview for the American Idiot release they were asked of the current punk bands out there they liked and they said "alkaline trio and AFI"
