I do that too, where I'll go through times where I won't listen to a certain group of CD for a while, and then after like a certain amount of time, I'll pick it up again, and realize why I loved it so much.

This happened to me the other day when I was listening to Sing the Sorrow. Dear god. They're just amazing. And I was listening to "6 to 8" one day and the lyric "Your fire makes it all worthwhile" just... made me cry. So I designed a tattoo and got those lyrics put on me.

Then I stopped.

And listened to the Stooges.

It happens to me a LOT. I just started listening to Black Sails again a few days ago, actually.

When I buy a CD and hear songs for the first time, they sound so new and the sound really hit me. After a while, the novelty wears off a bit.

Then I get into another band, and forget about my other albums for a while. When I return to them, it hits me again almost like the first time and it's like "Wow... why did I ever stop listening to this?"

So yeah, that sounded stupid, but I'm sure some of you know what I mean.
