DF sign-up closed

Just wanting to know, why?
It seems like a dumb question but some people may know - have they sold out of packages, does it close for a certain period of the year or a certain period after the album release?

And, does anybody have an approximation of how long it will be for?

does the page come up and is just blocking you from siging up? or is it like complete shutdown of the sign-up page?

Assuming registration is shut down:
I believe, but am not certain, that it's closed because the DF store is down, so they won't be able to ship you your stuff.

Cinder Block is upgrading their whole system so there has been occasional weirdness with new account verifications for the past few weeks and potentially ongoing for the next few weeks...

There's also an upcoming change to the way the DF is administered that relates to the activations/customer service side of things. It is very exciting for us but is temporarily delaying the prompt addressing of issues. More on that forthcoming very soon via announcements on the board and DF site.

Perhaps this is related to what you're experiencing?

I posted about this problem in another thread too. When I tried to sign up with different usernames (sorry, I wasn't sure what was going on!) I could sometimes order stuff, other times It gave me the out of stock message. But from what I was told by other people who are DF members, it didn't even take them to the store when they signed up. It just asked if they wanted a girls size or a guy size package and what size they wanted their tshirt. I'm waiting for a few weeks to sign up just in case. Hope that helps!

Gavin, if you see this, do you think you could give us an update when everything's smoothed out and working so we can sign up? That'd be awesome. thanks!

I'm so happy I signed up before this happened. Although, I still can't log in to the DF site.

If you've tried to sign up in the past 7-10 days your account is stuck in limbo for now. It'll get cleared up soon, there's nothing that can be done.

It's not that I'm having problems with the site, but you know where it says under the log-in box "Not a member? Sign up here"? Instead of that it says "Not a member? (DF registration is currently CLOSED. Check back soon, please.)".

So yes, what Gavin said about cinderblock being done up is probably the reason.
But (because you all care) this is very frustrating because I tried to do it about a month ago and it went all haywire on me, and now I've finally convinced mum to let me use her credit card again and I can't sign up.

My friend tried signing up last week also, and it apparently said that the packages are on backorder? Anyone know when they will get more in? Or does this relate to the notice saying it is closed?

As well as upgrading their site, does anyone know if Cinderblock are fixing the problem some people [including me] are having where they can't sign up because there's "nothing in the cart"? [advice from DFers and cinderblock isn't helping.]
